Spice Up Your Kid’s Breakfast with the Burnt Impressions Selfie Toaster

If your kids are up on popular culture these days, chances are they are well-acquainted with the phenomenon of the “selfie.” Selfie was the Oxford Dictionary word of the year in 2013, and in the last year, the popularity of taking pictures of yourself has not diminished.

While getting your kids up and ready for school can be a difficult task sometimes, you can make the breakfast portion of the morning go over just a little bit more smoothly thanks to the hilarious Selfie Toaster from Burnt Impressions.

Instead of serving a breakfast of sugary cereal to your young’ns, why not make things a little more exciting for them by serving them toast with their own faces emblazoned on the bread? This is now something you can do with the Burnt Impressions Selfie Toaster.

The Selfie Toaster works by using customer-uploaded images of faces to create inserts for the toaster (you need this specific toaster – the inserts won’t work with your standard Cuisinart or Black & Decker). Each toaster can only accommodate one image at a time, as the inserts need to be on both the front and back of the toaster, to emblazon the image on both sides.

Have a larger family and want you to all have your own customized toast? Don’t worry! Burnt Impressions will happily accommodate requests for additional inserts – at an extra cost of course. Soon your kiddos can be eating pictures of mom and dad, as well as themselves. I’m not sure¬†what Freud would say about that, but it’s still pretty cool.

If you want to customize your toaster even further, you can also personalize the front of the toaster with any image or logo you would like.

Of course, the toaster can also handle designs other than just the faces of your family. You can upload pictures of essentially whatever you’d like to be burned onto your toast. However, with more complex designs, like company logos, Burnt Impressions requires more discussion and specifications, as these items can get a little more tedious and technical. But don’t worry too much, Burnt Impressions doesn’t really restrict anything except animals with black fur – apparently they are next to impossible to put on a piece of toast.

The toaster itself comes in one of two models, dependent on whether you live in America or abroad. The American version is a US/CAN 120-v toaster, while the international option is the EU 230-v toaster. However, both options are adaptable to other outlets with standard plug adaptors.

No matter what design you wish to print upon your breakfast, you need to make sure that you use high-res, quality photos, and take things like lighting and contrast into account, for optimal results.
