San Francisco Transforms Into Gotham City for a Boy’s Make-a-Wish

miles the batkid to the rescueHeartbreaking and heartwarming at once: On November 15th, San Francisco will transform into Gotham City for Miles to become BatKid for his Make-a-Wish.

Meet Miles.

Miles is a 5-year-old leukemia patient who made a wish: To become Batman for one day.

Rarely does Make-a-Wish request the public to help in making dreams come true for children. But on this occasion, Make-a-Wish pulled all the strings they could.

San Francisco Becomes Gotham City for Miles

This is one that we thought of as a great opportunity for people to share int he power of a wish so they can see how it affects not only the children and their families, but also the other people involved.

On November 15th, a breaking news story will flash across televisions throughout San Francisco.

The Police Chief needs help solving a crime and bringing a bad guy to justice. And there’s only one person he can call on: Batkid.

Miles–aka Batkid–will assist in rescuing a damsel in distress, tied across the Hyde Street cable car line. His bravery will help capture the Puzzler as he robs a downtown vault.

Then, as he’s eating lunch at Burger Bar, the Police Chief will message him saying to look out over Union Square. Down below, Batkid will see a massive group of volunteers, pleading for his help as a villain captures a famous San Francisco mascot.

After Miles successfully foils the villains plan, Batkid will be presented with a key to the city by the mayor and police chief.

What a story. And what a day it will be for Miles, who has no clue how much the city of San Francisco will be depending on him for that day.

God-speed, Batkid.
